What is a Burner Chat Session?
A temporary anonymous gateway. You can generate a unique link to chat with outsiders who don't have a NYX account. Everything happens in-memory and auto-nukes when the tab is closed.
How does Zero-Knowledge file encryption work?
File attachments are encrypted on your device using a unique, random XChaCha20-Poly1305 symmetric key before reaching the cloud. The NYX server only sees a binary blob and never possesses the decryption key.
How do I backup my cryptographic identity?
Upon registration, you are given a 24-word recovery phrase. This phrase is the sole backup of your identity keys. Store it securely offline. We cannot recover it for you.
Is NYX truly quantum-resistant?
Yes, we implement a hybrid approach combining classical X25519 and the post-quantum ML-KEM-768 (X-Wing) algorithm inside a dedicated WebAssembly Web Worker.
